The dehumidification rotor is usually a honeycomb-shaped rotor made of heat-resistant materials. Commonly, it uses aluminum inorganic fiber with a heat resistance of over 300℃ as the base material to form a honeycomb structure with a pore diameter of only 1.5mm. The moisture absorption area of each cubic meter of the rotor paper core can reach 3,000 square meters. The surface or interior of the rotor is coated with moisture absorbents, such as silica gel, molecular sieve, lithium chloride, etc.
1.Working Principle:
The dehumidification rotor rotates slowly at a speed of 8 to 18 revolutions per hour. The rotor is divided into a moisture absorption zone and a regeneration zone. When moist air flows through the moisture absorption zone, the moisture in the air is adsorbed by the moisture absorbent, and dry air is blown out. After absorbing moisture, the moisture absorbent rotates with the rotor to the regeneration zone, and high-temperature regeneration air heated to 120±10℃ is blown in reversely, vaporizing and discharging the moisture in the moisture absorbent, thus restoring the moisture absorption capacity and achieving continuous and stable dehumidification.
2.Characteristics, Advantages and Disadvantages of Moisture Absorbent Materials:
I. Lithium Chloride: It has the advantages of high moisture content, easy regeneration, high chemical stability, and strong bactericidal ability, and is suitable for fields such as medicine and food. However, it has the disadvantages of small dehumidification capacity in the low humidity range and being prone to liquefaction and escape, which may corrode the equipment.
II. Silica Gel: It has good physical and chemical stability and can be cleaned, but its adsorption performance, heat resistance, and mechanical strength need to be improved.
III. Zeolite Molecular Sieve: It has good adsorption performance in low humidity and high-temperature environments and is suitable for deep dehumidification at low dew points. However, its adsorption capacity is small under normal conditions, and the regeneration energy consumption is high.
3.Wide Applications in Various Fields:
I. Industrial Field: In chemical production, it can ensure that chemical reactions occur in a suitable humidity environment, improving product quality and yield. In the manufacturing workshop of electronic chips, it can prevent the chips from being affected by moisture and oxidizing, ensuring the performance and reliability of the products.
II. Commercial Field: Using dehumidification rotors in shopping malls, hotels and other places can create a comfortable environment for customers. In warehouses, it can prevent goods from being affected by moisture and getting moldy, reducing losses.
III. Household Field: It provides a dry living environment for families, improving the quality of life. It can also be used for quick drying of clothes, saving time and energy.
4.Development Status and Future Trends:
The main production areas of global rotary dehumidifiers are concentrated in the United States, Japan, Sweden, China and other places. Although China's rotary dehumidifier industry has achieved certain development, the core technology still needs further breakthroughs. In the future, the dehumidification rotor will develop towards high efficiency, energy conservation and intelligence, continuously improving the dehumidification performance, reducing energy consumption, and at the same time, combining with intelligent control systems to achieve more precise and convenient humidity regulation.
